01 Raising a concern

If something feels off, let us know. That could be misconduct, a safety issue, or anything that goes against our code of conduct. Email team@stuhi.org at any time, or talk to an organiser if you're at an event. Tell us as much or as little as you're comfortable sharing; even a short heads-up helps us look into it.

02 Confidentiality

We treat reports with care. We'll only share what we need to in order to look into the issue and keep people safe, and we won't pass on your details more widely without talking to you first, unless we're required to by law or someone is at risk of harm. You're welcome to raise something anonymously, though it can be harder for us to follow up if we can't reach you.

03 At our events

Organisers are there to help, not just to run the schedule. Find any of us if you feel unsafe, unwell, or just need a hand. We keep an eye on capacity and the basics of the venue, ask everyone to follow venue rules, and will step in if someone's behaviour is a problem. If you need to step out or head home early, that's always okay.

04 Under-18 participants

Many of our members are under 18, and we plan our events with that in mind. Younger participants are always welcome, and where an event or its venue calls for it we'll say up front if a guardian's consent or a guardian's presence is needed. Guardians are welcome to reach us at team@stuhi.org with any questions before signing up.

05 Photos and media

We sometimes take photos or video at events to share what STUHI is about. If you'd rather not appear, just tell an organiser or the person with the camera. That's completely fine, and we'll make sure you're kept out of shots. For participants under 18, we ask for guardian consent before using any clearly identifiable images, and you can ask us to remove a photo of you at any time by emailing team@stuhi.org .

06 In an emergency

STUHI is a student community, not an emergency or crisis service. If someone is in immediate danger or needs urgent medical help, call 112 (the emergency number across Finland and the EU) before anything else, and then let an organiser know if you can. For non-urgent worries, we're always reachable by email.

07 Contact

Questions about safety, or want to talk something through? Email team@stuhi.org and a real person reads it.
