The takeover
High-schoolers have taken over Aalto University.
500+ high schoolers are heading to Espoo in November, and the cultural change is ready to start. All expenses are covered for two days of solving Finland’s burning societal problems with the help of world-class mentors from FR8, Slush, Aalto Founder School, etc.

Why attend High-Up 2026?
High-Up is two days with the people building the Finnish startup scene. You leave with a prototype that works, a team that shipped it, and mentors who stay in touch after the weekend.
Talks from Slush speakers, startup booths across the whole campus, and two days of building with tools and mentors within arm's reach.
A radical solution to a problem you picked yourself, presented to people who can push it further than the weekend.
Ambitious high schoolers from all over Finland, big cities and small towns alike, plus the founders, investors, teachers and mentors of the Finnish startup scene.
Attending is free. Meals on campus are covered for everyone, and travel and accommodation for students from outside the capital region. That is what the partners are for.

The people on this stage have started companies, funded them and sold them. During Slush week they mostly talk to each other. At High-Up! they talk to you: what they got wrong, what they would do at seventeen, and what makes them back a founder.

TWO TRACKS: BUILDERS & SOLVERS
On day one you pick a track. Builders arrive with a project already underway and spend the two days sharpening it with experts. Solvers start from zero at the event: pick a big problem, form a radical solution, iterate.

Founders and operators who walk the floor for the two days and sit down with your team: when the idea is stuck, when the demo breaks, when the pitch needs a sharper first line. You get the ones who have already been through it.

Every student comes for free.* These partners pay for that, in three tiers, and the wall still has room for your name. The founding team and the co-organisers are on the partners page.
* Travel and accommodation are covered for students from outside the capital region. Meals on campus are covered for everyone.
